SNOW AND CLOSING POLICIES
The Play and Learn center policy is to close the center if Fairfax County Public
school is closed. If Fairfax County Public Schools open two hours late, we will
open at 8:30 a.m. If they close two hours early, then we will close at 4:30p.m.
Late fees will be assessed for late pickup.
In order to know if the center is closed or open you can always go to Fairfax
County Public School website www.Fcps.edu, check WTOP.com or register
The Center reserves the right to open/close when the weather is questionable.
If we close early we will give you a call to come and pick your child up. We will
make every effort to give you two hours notice, although that may not always be
possible.
The center may close at other times due to an emergency situation (e.g.,a
government state of emergency or loss of power to the facility). When the center
closes unexpectedly due to an emergency situation, center Director/assistant will
contact each parent relaying the situation and requesting assistance in picking up
their children in an expeditious manner.
