HOURS OF OPERATION:
Play and Learn at Dulles Corner operates on a schedule that reflects the varied needs
of the parents. The Center opens at 6:30 A.M. and closes at 6:30 P.M.
The Center is open year-round, Monday through Friday with the exception of the
major holidays and In-Service Training which can be seen on our calendar.
| Full-Time Care |
Children who attend the program 5 days a week are
considered full-time. Full-time children on the waiting list
receive priority as space becomes available.

| Part-Time Care |
Children may be enrolled on a part-time basis. Part-time care is a
full day of care on Monday, Wednesday and Friday (3 Days) or
Tuesday and Thursday (2 Days).

| Change In Status |
Parents must notify the Director of any change in the type of care
that the Center provides to your child.

REGISTRATION FEE:
A non-refundable fee of $100 Registration Fee charged to all new applicants at the time
of registration.
DEPOSIT:
At the time of registration, parents are required to make a $200 tuition deposit for full-
time / part time enrollment. This deposit is returned to parents when one month’s notice
is submitted for withdrawal. On the child's first day of enrollment payment is due for the
tuition period during which the child enrolls
WITHDRAWAL:
Parents are asked to give the center one month’s written notice of withdrawal. This
enables the center to prepare your child and his/her friends for the transition. Failure to
give adequate notice shall result in forfeiture of the tuition deposit. Tuition is due through
the last day of attendance. The deposit will be returned by mail.
LATE PICK UP:
The extended hours of the Center serve the regular work schedules of working parents.
The Center is not to provide care for any other purpose. The Center does not believe it
to be in the child's best interest to attend the Center more than 10 hours per day. The
program is planned accordingly and attendance will be monitored.
If for any reason, a parent arrives at the Center beyond the scheduled closing time of
6:30PM there will result a charge of $15.00 for any part of the first 15 minutes and $5.00
for any part of each subsequent 15-minute increment beyond that time. The Center
clock will be the determining clock. Payment, in the form of payable to Play and Learn at
Dulles Corner, is due at the time of pick-up.
If you are going to be late, it is important that you call the Center to inform the staff of
the situation and approximately what time you can get to the Center. When a child is at
the Center after closing time, the staff in charge will make every attempt to reach the
parents. If the parents can not be reached, and they have not contacted the Center, then
the emergency contacts will be called to come pick-up the child. In the event that no
one can be reached, and the child is still at the Center at 8:00PM, the staff will call the
Dept. of Social Services and the child will be released to the proper authorities. A note
will be left on the door to inform the parents of what has happened and who they should
contact.
CHECK CHARGE:
Parents will be charged a fee of at least $25 if any check is returned for insufficient
funds. The Center’s Board of Directors may change the minimum fee for returned
checks. If funds are insufficient more than twice during the year the center reserves the
right to require payment by cash, cashier's check or certified check. Enrollment may be
terminated if tuition is repeatedly uncollected.
